We’ve written a free adaptation to accompany our original Basic Sock pattern so you can ruffle up your socks yourself. For young-at-heart grown-ups, these socks are pretty with sneakers and sweet in Mary Janes. The socks’ shorter length makes them perfect for warm weather—and you’ll finish them much faster. We thought Manos Alegría—’joy’ in Spanish—would cheer the ruffles on even more. A brilliant fingering-weight yarn, Alegría is a blend of superwash merino and sturdy polyamide.
