Our newest selvage is a superb indigo herringbone weave. This is one of the most techinical and difficult weaves to master due to the precise nature of the loom setup. The pattern is achieved by reversing the direction of the twill weave at regular intervals, creating a zigzag effect. To create a herringbone pattern, the weft thread (horizontal) goes over and under two or more warp threads (vertical) in a repeated sequence.
