We are delighted to bring to you this exceptional telescope set by Aitchinson and Company dating from around 1900. This superb instrument comes complete with a tripod. This impressive telescope is a 3 inch brass refractor that is mounted to a small brass table top stand. It comes with three eye pieces. This highly attractive telescope would make a great display item in a study or library. If you have a good view from your study’s window, it would be perfect for gazing out over the sea or across country landscapes. It is also ideal for lunar and planetary observations, giving clear images at high magnifications. In dark sky areas, low magnification viewing of nebulae and nearby galaxies is also very possible.  The scope and accessories store away neatly within a large wooden case, with separate compartments and holders for the various lenses and tubes. There are two small dents, one near the centre of the main tube and one near the focusing knob. The body of the scope is 103 cm long and has an outer diameter of 8 cm at its widest part.
