Having first emerged in the gardens of Alexandra Mosher after planting out seeds sourced from Coseytown Flowers, Alexandra shared tubers of her seedling back and this stunner has been under evaluation and propagation ever since. Coseytown Bermuda Pink's time has arrived!LeeAnn's Hybridizer NotesAs a naturally stout and stocky plant, if you prefer to keep this dahlia as a container or landscape plant its natural growth habit will make it a perfect candidate. On the other hand, she needs to be actively managed into being a prime cut flower - a first pinch of the terminal bud is a must as well as continued harvesting throughout the season to encourage longer and thinner stems. Her tubers are numerous - and can store a bit softer than the typical Coseytown workhorses you may be used to. Why must the most beautiful dahlias require extra work? This bloom likes a bit of morning or afternoon shade, and during the dog days of summer I will drape a 30% shade cloth over the plant. Bermuda Pink will occasionally sport beautifully bronze / almost brown blooms, because this is her world and we’re living in it - so enjoy the ride!
