This mouthpiece is crazy shallow which is how you can achieve high notes. Makes sense given this mouthpiece was designed for Maynard Ferguson back before he passed away (R.I.P.).

Monette Size: MF II
Comparable Conventional Size: 13A
Weight: “LT” lightweight
Series: “Classic” original gold plated

This mouthpiece is in what I call 8/10 condition. 10 would be perfect/new. 9 would have insertion marks only, and 8 (what I rate this mouthpiece) is because there are some imperfections on the outside of the cup (NOT on the inside of the cup or on the rim though). The imperfections/scuffs are aesthetic only and won’t affect performance of the mouthpiece. I’m being as transparent as possible about the condition of the mouthpiece and tried to get photos to show such marks/scuffs and describe it as such.

Questions? Let me know. I’m happy to help out.
