Speaking of polarizing men’s fashions associated with popular musicians, Yoko Ono has collaborated on a new men’s-wear line inspired by her late husband, John Lennon. Per WWD, the 18-piece collection, available at Opening Ceremony stores this week, is based on drawings that the conceptual artist gave to Lennon as a wedding gift in 1969. The sketches showed clothes that, in her words, “emphasiz[ed] his very sexy bod.” Priced from $75 to $750, the realized pieces include “suit pants adorned with a hand cutout sewn over the crotch,” “a jersey pullover with eyelets cut out over the nipple region,” a battery-operated lightbulb bra, and a thigh-high boot “with a conical incense holder at the toe.” If you cannot afford the lightbulb-operated bra ($250) or the incense boot ($750), paperback books containing Ono’s sketches will retail for $30 each.
