lt;p>A delightful addition to any dinner table, our indigo print napkins are ideal for special occasions and lovely for simple meals. The word indigo is derived from the Greek word for the dye “indikon,” meaning a product from India, the earliest major center for indigo production.

The cheerful Nagina design with small motifs is hand block printed on white fabric using a dye-resistant paste made with mud (locally known as dabu). The fabric is then placed in an indigo dye bath to achieve the rich color. Once the resist is removed, the eye catching patterns remain in white against the colored background.

Sold in sets of two, our indigo dyed napkins are perfect for pairing with other patterns from across our table linens collection.

*Some color rub off is to be expected in indigo hand printed textiles. We recommend cold washing separately before use.
