For the traditional reactive dyeing process you will need dye powder, soda ash, urea (opt.), fabric detergent (opt.), dust mask, gloves, and safety glasses. Dye Mixing: For the color swatch, we used 2 tsp Ice Dye Blue dye powder to 1/2 cup warm water with 1/2 tsp urea. You can use less dye powder to get a lighter hue or more dye powder for a darker hue.
