NYLEAP, New York Law Enforcement Assistance Program is a Non-Profit Organization based out of New York. We are police officers who are highly trained and experienced in the mental health aspect of law enforcement. Our goal is to offer help, education, training, and resources to all law enforcement agencies in need. We specialize in peer to peer support after individuals experience a crisis of any kind. We offer assistance in all areas of need such as alcohol and or substance abuse, ptsd, cumulative stress, line of duty death, suicide, marital problems, discipline issues, and much more. Most agencies are very prepared and trained for the survival of the streets, however the mental state of our officers is rarely considered. We must make mental health a priority! The time to change is now, by training and educating we can change the culture and help to bring down the statistics, and help our officers to live healthy and happy lives. #breakthestigma #youarenotalone #ask4help
